Community

Apatar is an open source technology for next generation data integration. Apatar delivers innovation for the developer and the end-user.

Where do we come from?

Apatar started in late 2005 under the Apatar codename. Recognizing the need of an open source community and business users for a tool that could save them from spending endless hours of coding building "pipes" between data sources and applications.

What do we have now?

Today we have a Community Preview product which is being used by a number of commercial beta customers. At the beginning of the 2007 Alex Malkov, Apatar Product Manager felt it was time to share the results of our work and give back to the community.

During the past couple of months, we have put a lot of effort into making our code base/GUI presentable, and we are happy to share it with you, our fellow developers.

Where are we going?

We set out to develop an Extract, Transform, Load data integration software (ETL) like no other: more fair, robust, adaptable and easy to use than what had ever been previously offered to developers and IT users.

Can you help us make it better?

In this community effort to make data integration easy for all of us, you can help, too. We encourage and appreciate any kind of help you can come up with.

Do you have the guts?

Do you have the guts to share with us your thoughts, advice, and critiques, to help us catch bugs, develop new connectors, and capabilities?

Every member of our community is a part of the team that wants to help each other improve every day and help fellow programmers do more with less.

Do you have your own opinion about what kind of capabilities you and other programmers may need from a strong data integration tool?
Do you have a need for a connector to a database, type of files, or an API?
Do you want to be a part of the growing Apatar community?

If you answered, "Yes," to any of the above three questions, we encourage you to join our community of open source enthusiasts, Java developers, and data integration practitioners. Check it out for yourself!

Together - we can make a difference and all benefit from it. Help us push Apatar forward!

What are the ways to join Apatar community?

We encourage participation of all kinds. We welcome you to:
